How to Use:
1. PDM MEMS microphone, in addition to analog or I2S, PDM is a “third” microphone that can be integrated with electronic equipment. These microphones are very common in products, but rarely seen in manufacturer projects.
2. The first thing to note is that this sensor does not provide an “analog” output like our electret microphone components. Therefore, it is an ideal choice for chips without analog input. Secondly, the digital interface is a very simple pulse density modulation output. It is digital, but not PWM, nor I2S. You need to make sure that your chip has a PDM interface?most 32?bit processors are currently available!
3. PDM is a bit like 1?bit PWM. Keep the clock speed of the microphone at 1 MHz?3 MHz. On the data line, you will get a square wave synchronized with the clock. The data line is a logic 0 or 1 output, and the density generated by the square wave will result in an average output of the analog value.
